The Role

The Festivals Assistant works side by side with the Face to Face Festivals Programme Manager and Coordinators to logistically support an amazing fundraising programme. You will be responsible for setting up festivals, maintaining the kit and helping with logistical tasks as per requested by the Programme Manager or Coordinator.

You must be flexible and able to work under pressure, and have a good understanding of how festivals work.

Key areas of Responsibility

Logistics and Equipment

  • Ensuring vehicles, kit and equipment remain clean and maintained at safety standards as per risk assessments
  • Ensuring the safe transport and set up of marquees to and from festivals/sites
  • Ensuring all marquees are constructed safely in line with the festival health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the virtual reality (VR) headsets and that they are fully charged before each festival.
  • Maintenance of storage room, ensuring Asset Tiger (our storage management system) is being used and managed correctly
  • Ensuring the safe pack down of festivals within the time frames of the festival organisers
  • Provide adequate food and camping equipment to fundraisers at festivals
  • All other logistical necessities required by the festivals programme

The Candidate

Essential Requirements

  • Clean valid driving license of at least 2 years
  • Must be of an age to be able to rent a van, and a valid UK drivers licence
  • Ability to drive large vans
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Awareness and knowledge of the UK festivals market
  • Time management skills
  • Must be London-based or commutable
  • Manual handling skills
